PROGRAM CHANGES GO INTO EFFECT ON February 1, 2025: Per administrative code changes put into place by the New Jersey Department of Education, the MAT program is updating requirements for the following Concentrations: Early Childhood Education Concentration, Elementary Education Concentration, Secondary Education Concentration, and the Teacher of Students with Disabilities Stand-Alone Certificate.

CHANGE TO REQUIREMENTS: Per the New Jersey Department of Education announcement, after January 1, 2025, the NJ Basic Skills requirement, which includes the PRAXIS CORE will no longer be required for CE and CEAS instructional certificates. For the MAT Program, the February 1 clinical practice materials will still include submission of passing Praxis II scores in the desired licensure area and a current NJ substitute teaching license.
